A workspace is a virtual desktop that allows you to organize and manage open applications more effectively. Workspaces are particularly useful for users who run multiple applications simultaneously, as they offer a more organized and seamless experience.
Creating a new workspace
1. Open the Activities Overview by pressing the Super (Windows) key or clicking the Activities button in the top-left corner of the screen. Use the scroll button to navigate between workspaces. This will cycle through available ones. Click on the empty workspace.
2. Open the Activities Overview by pressing the Super (Windows) key or clicking the Activities button in the top-left corner of the screen. Click to the partially visible new workspace to create and use it.
Switching workspaces
1. Use keyboard shortcuts (Ctrl + Alt + Arrow keys) to switch between workspaces.
2. Open the Activities Overview by pressing the Super (Windows) key or clicking the Activities button in the top-left corner of the screen. Use the scroll button to navigate between existing workspaces. This will cycle through available ones. Use mouse click to select an existing workspace.
3. Open the Activities Overview by pressing the Super (Windows) key or clicking the Activities button in the top-left corner of the screen. Click to the partially visible workspace and use it.
Moving windows between workspaces
1. Open the Activities Overview by pressing the Super (Windows) key or clicking the Activities button in the top-left corner of the screen. Drag and drop windows between workspace thumbnails in the Activities Overview.
2. Click on the application, use the shortcut Shift + Ctrl + Alt + Arrow keys to move the active window.
